On the 12 of July the Con Tempo string quartet gave the Finnish Premiere of Melencolia I for string quartet, live electronics and quadraphonic sound diffusion.  Thanks to those involved in making this happen.  The Association of Irish Composers, Con Tempo String Quartet, Perttu Haapanen  and to Marko Myöhänen for taking care of the live electronics.

12th July 2009 – Time of Music, Finland

The AIC is promoting Irish composers at the Time of Music Festival, Viitasaari, Finland. The ConTempo string quartet will perform on Sunday, July 12th 2009. This concert is part of AIC’s international exchange concert series, which is once again on this occasion assisted by Culture Ireland.
